Air Attack is releasing Tanker 88 back to Grass Valley and Tanker 100 is released on base.

Per Placer County Sheriff: Clipper Creek is under MANDATORY evacuation. Hard closure at Clipper Gap Rd & Applegate Rd. Evacuations are taking place at Clipper Gap, Clipper Creek, Boole, and Cerro Vista Roads.

Air Attack is satisfied with the progress made by the air tankers assigned to the fire. There is no need for additional aircraft, releasing one tanker back to Columbia.

Tankers are reinforcing the retardant lines to completely box the fire in. The helicopters are cooling hotspots, ground resources are cutting line and providing structure protection. Some progress reported.

6 engines made it to the bottom and are directly attacking the fire.

Retardant drops slowed the rate of spread of the fire, the left flank and the head of the fire have been targeted successfully.

Firefighters are trying to make access to the fire via Boole Road. At this time engines are staging in Clipper Gap Road.

IC reports multiple cars and debris on fire, no way to make safe access. The fire is burning uphill, approximately 1/2 to 3/4 acres at this time.

Air Attack 230 is over the Foresthill Bridge, reports it as a working structure fire with extension to the wildland. High potential for spotting.
