Firefighters will remain on scene until approximately 10 pm for extensive mop-up operations. No structures were damaged or destroyed, no injuries reported and the cause of the fire is under investigation.

Firefighters on scene have started to lay hoseline around the fire. IC states air support helped keep the fire in check until they arrived on scene.

Banner Mountain lookout reports light white smoke, no significant build. Access will be very difficult for firefighters, long drive on narrow road with steep terrain.
