Fire fighters are making great progress on the fire and forward progress has stopped. Significant resources remain on scene to ensure further containment. The cause of the fire is under investigation. No evacuations or road closures.

Tankers have reinforced the lines, two of the four assigned are returning to McClellan on a “load and hold.” [Ready to come back at a moment’s notice.] Helicopters are continuing to work the hotspots, two tankers are remaining in orbit. Ground resources are making good progress with line building.

The fire is burning midslope in grass and oak woodlands, spread has slowed. Tankers will drop on the head of the fire to further slow progression.
