Firefighters made good progress with line construction overnight. Fire activity was minimal, no growth. No injuries reported, the cause of the fire remains under investigation. Placer County has downgraded the mandatory evacuation to a warning only.

Helicopters with night vision goggle-equipped pilots continue to work the fire and assist ground resources. Evacuation warnings and orders remain in place. Deputies are patrolling the evacuation zone and will ensure it stays secure throughout the night.

Intel 12 has left the incident. Helicopters continue to work the fire. The C130 remains over the fire with Air Attack. Ground resources are working in very steep terrain but are making good progress.
