Firefighters are backhauling equipment and rehabilitating firelines. There is no anticipated movement or risk of the fire escaping control lines.

Latest update puts the fire at 136 acres and now 35% contained. Firefighters made good progress overnight in very difficult terrain. The forward progress of the fire has been stopped.

While all aircraft is off the fire, ground resources are making progress on the fire.  Short range spotting to the north east was reported earlier on, but fire behavior has moderated greatly.

Air Attack has canceled the VLAT. Tankers are making progress reinforcing retardant lines. There are no evacuations at this time.

Air Attack wants to close the retardant line on the right flank, there is a small finger of fire breaking through the line.

Access issues for dozers and engines. IC has placed an additional resources order for 15 engines, 6 hand crews, 3 additional dozers and at least 6 water tenders. The fire is again burning at a rate of spread is now. Latest estimate from Air Attack 17 is approximately 100 acres

Difficult access to the fire for ground resources. TNF Air Attack 17, CAL FIRE Tankers 88 and 89 from Grass Valley on scene. The fire is burning at a moderate rate of spread in brush and grass.

IC requests augmented dispatch with the  5 closest engines, 10 State engines and 4 Gulf strike teams. Strike team from NEU is en route to the fire.
