Fire crews continue to work to put out slow burning manure piles and smokes near scattered oak tree groves within the interior of the burn area. Fire crews are also patrolling the entire burn area for hotspots.

Fire crews made great progress on a large, wind driven grass fire yesterday. Crews are continuing to mop up hot spots and staying vigilant in the event of winds returning today.

Fire behavior overnight was minimal. All evacuation orders and road closures have been lifted. One structure (outbuilding) was damaged in the fire.

Grant Air Attack is releasing some tankers back to their bases. Fire activity has diminished.

IC update: 4,500 acres and 30% contained. Forward progress has been stopped. No injuries to firefighters and no structures destroyed.

Per Sacramento OES: East Bidwell at White Rock Road White Rock Road at Scott Road Highway 50 at Prairie City are closed. Additional road closures include Grant Line Road to Jackson Highway.
