Fire fighters have made great progress and gained full containment of the fire. Fire crews will continue to patrol the area and mop up any hotspots throughout the evening. Total acreage reduced to 16 due to more accurate mapping.

Air Attack 230, Tanker 88 and TNF Helicopter 514 are being assigned to a big rig fire on eastbound US 50 near Greenstone Road in PLacerville. Eastbound traffic on US 50 is being diverted, evacuations starting.
