Firefighters are making good progress, tankers are being released back to Grass Valley Air Attack Base while the helicopter is working hotspots. Forward progress has been stopped.

Retardant drops have slowed rate of spread a little. No evacuations are expected at this time, Nevada County Sheriff’s deputies are monitoring.

Air Attack is instructing the tankers and the helicopter to reinforce the retardant lines while ground resources are still making access. There are no road closures or evacuations at this time, but please avoid the area.
