Per Caltrans, Hwy 20 has reopened to EB traffic at Penn Valley. SR 20 has reopened to WB traffic but is reduced to one lane near Mill Street for fire clean up.

Firefighters are mopping up, the engines and crew still at scene wil be committed for a couple hours. Hwy 20 will reopen in approximately 30 minutes.

Grass Valley Police has received the all clear to repopulate the evacuated areas.

Firefighters are making good progress, NCSO and GVPd are using the two-tone sirens to alert residents on Primrose to the evacuation. There is no evacuation center at tis time.

Per GVPD and CHP: The eastbound traffic lanes of Hwy 20 at Penn Valley Drive, and the westbound traffic lanes of Hwy 20 at Mill Street are closed due to vegetation fire. Motorists are advised to use an alternative route. there’s no estimated time of opening.
