The fire is 60% contained, very heavy mop-up will take hours. Water tenders have been released, additional resources will be freed up as containemnet grows. The line around the fire is almost complete.

Firefighters have made great progress at the head and the flanks of the fire. The heel of the fire is in very steep terrain, handcrews are having troiuble accessing the area. There is no threat to structures at this.

Firefighters are making progress on linebuilding, Air Attack and the EC130 tanker remain overhead. Helicopter 514 has dropped the helitack crew off and is doing bucket work.

Meyer IC requests two additional handcrews and two additional engines. The fire has dropped down in the Wolf Creek drainage.

Taahoe Helicopter 514 on scene, Tanker 130 is on scene, Tanker 89 is at Grass Valley on hold. The fire is holding at 3-5 acres. Air Attack is canceling the additional tankers.
