Battalion Chief on scene is releasing some of the local engines. Tanker 88 is being released back to Grass Valley, needs fuel and retardant for the next incident.

There are no road closures or evacuations, just watch for fire engines in the area.

Air Attack reports the fire looks really good, no trees torching. Ground resources should be able to pick it up pretty fast.

Fire personnel on site at Airport Road will have the tanker make one drop to take the heat out of the fire – which is burning in heavy fuels and a lot of logging slash.

All resources are staging at West Airport Road, fire appears to be 1/4 spot for now. Minimal threat, per Air Tanker report.

Report of a vegetation fire by Banner Mountain lookout. Possibly on Piper Lane near the old airport of Nevada City. Units en route to locate, staging at Purdon Road/North Bloomfield Crossing. Tanker 88 has launched from Grass Valley and will be overhead shortly.
