Minimal fire activity overnight. No additional growth reported. Night shift is transitioning with day operations. Yesterday’s spot fires are within the retardant lines.

Per TNF: AA17 w/Helicopters 514 and 3CH will return to Plum Fire tomorrow. 3 TNF Engines, 514 & 3CH helitack crews & assigned engines & crews will remain overnight constructing direct containment line. FIRIS mapped it 11.65 acres. Cover engines arriving to TNF.

Still holding at 10 acres, fully boxed in with retardant lines. Some single tree torching occurring. Very steep terrain, few opportunities for line construction. With the arrival of additional crews, they will start hand line.

Tankers 88, 89 and 93 and Helicopter 514 are working the fire. Ground resources from North San Juan, Camptonville, CAL FIRE are assisting the Tahoe National Forest. IC is attempting to get a dozer as close as possible to Bucks Ranch.

The initially reported location of the fire is incorrect, the fire is near Moores Flat, which is on the south side of the Middle Yuba.

Now estimated at 5-7 acres, burning in heavy timber. Head of the fire has burned into the diggins and is held up there. Fire is burning both up and downhill on a 30-40% slope on a southwest exposure.

Resources have a long way to the fire, Hwy 49 to North San Juan, then Cruzon Grade up to Moores Flat. That’ll bring them 1 mile south of the fire.
