Resources are now starting the long mop-up process. The fire is now being mapped, the estimate has been revised down to approximately 1.5 acres. The fire got in a heavy brush filed, fueling fire intensity.

Forward progress of the fire has been stopped. Only three additional engines, two water tenders and a prevention unit to continue in.

Ground resources have a hoseline around the fire, this will help with swift containment. Still concerns for possible spotting. The Type 1 Helicopter will stay on the fire, ready to douse spot fires with their bucket.

Air Attack is releasing some tankers, crews are making real good progress on the ground now thatthey have full access.

Fire activity is moderating a little, thanks to the firefighters’ efforts. The fire started at or near a structure and is burning away into the wildland.
