A structure fire started around 2:00 am in the perimeter on the 26000 block of Old Loggers Lane. Resources worked overnight and are being released now.

All aircraft is leaving the fire, Air Attack is returning back to Grass Valley Air Attack Base.

Ravine Air Attack is releasing Tanker 88 back to Grass Valley on a load and hold. Tanker 100 is released back to Grass Valley. Helicopter still working hotspots.

Fire behavior is starting to moderate, resources from the River Fire are available if needed. One strike team is responding to the fire now.

Hearing sporadic chatter of evacuation warnings, but no official info yet. One patient, unknown if related to the fire, is in need of an ambulance. PCSO has the AMR ambulance respond to the end of Cape Horn.

Fire is still burning at a slow to moderate rate of spread. Retardant lines are holding, no spot fires at this time.

Air Attack reports some active ground fire on the east side of the fire. Tankers will extend the retardant line that way, reinforcing the anchor points.

Tanker 83 is being sent back to Columbia, and 105 back to Sonoma, Air Attack had no contact with them.

Air Attack suggests engines make access et the end of Cape Horn Road, the fire has been named the Ravine Fire (there was a Robbers Fire a few years ago).

Air Attack wants to box this in immediately. Tankers are dropping at a coverage level 6, coating about 310 ft of vegetation. The fire is burning in heavy brush and timber on a steep slope.
