CAL FIRE/Butte County Fire update: Pike County Look Out visually spotted the smoke and radioed the location into the Oroville Command Center. Resources were dispatched to the area of Robinson Mill Rd and LaPorte Road. More 911 calls were received and gave a a better location of Gold Mountain Rd. Resources got at scene and had 2-3 acres with a moderate rate of spread. The fire began to grow in size and created several spot fires. More ground and air resources were ordered. The additional aircraft was able to slow the spread and allow the ground resources to stop the forward progress. Resources continue to build line around the fire and work on full control. Resources will be at scene well into the night.

Robinson IC reports the fire is holding within the retardant and hose lines. Requesting a second dozer, canceling contingency engines. Forward progress has been stopped.
