Firefighters will be committed to the fire for at least another hour. Tankers have been released, shutdown time for aircraft is approaching.

Tankers are on scene, dropping retardant to box the fire in. Some trees are reported on fire. There are no evacuations, only the off ramp to Eagle Lakes is closed. Smoke is not affecting the visibility on I-80, however motorists should turn on their headlights and watch for fire equipment

The fire is burning at a slow rate of spread, low flames only. Not burning in the trees yet. Full response is on scene and making good progress.

Tanker 88 and 94 are inbound to the fire. Helicopters are on scene, working the fire. Air Tac reports progress being made.

The Eagle Lake off ramp on westbound I-80 is now closed to traffic.

The fire is reported to be near the Eagle Lakes campground. Smoke can be seen from I-80 and the top of Hwy 20.

Report of a vegetation fire, smoke column building, 1/2 mile past Cisco Grove on the north side of I-80. Possibly power lines down near the Eagle Lake campground. Full wildland dispatch en route.
