SAN FRANCISCO, Dec. 5, 2017 – Today, the Need To Impeach effort announced the airing of a new television ad titled “Raise Your Voice.” The ad features Tom Steyer talking to Americans about their fears about the Trump Administration in front of the new Need to Impeach billboards in Times Square. This announcement comes as the impeachment petition tops 3.2 million signatures since its kickoff just six weeks ago.

“We’ve started a campaign to let the American people raise their voice to say that this president is unfit for office and needs to go,” said Steyer in the ad. “We need to speak up together and demand an end to this presidency.”

In less than two months, the Need To Impeach campaign has become a fundamental component of the national political conversation. The campaign reached 1 million signatures in its first week and as of Tuesday, over 3.2 million people have signed the petition. Need To Impeach has also received attention from Donald Trump himself, with the president tweeting to denounce the campaign and Fox News pulling the ad from its airwaves due to viewer backlash. With the most recent revelations about Michael Flynn’s guilty plea, it is becoming more and more clear that the support for impeachment will only grow stronger.

Need To Impeach has been airing two one-minute ads entitled “Join Us” and “Your Voice” that feature Steyer demanding elected officials take a stand on impeachment as part of an eight-figure, national television buy. The effort, which also includes an aggressive seven-figure digital campaign, encourages Americans to come together and demand that elected officials act now on removing Trump from office.
