Several Rough and Ready community organizations and businesses have united to hold the 1st Annual Community Wide Yard Sale to benefit the Rough and Ready Fire Department. The event will be held on Saturday and Sunday, Oct. 15 and 16 from 9am to 3pm at two separate locations: in front of the Rough and Ready Market and at the local Grange Hall.
An earlier attempt to hold the event was cancelled due to excessive heat and smoke from the Mosquito Fire.
Recognizing the financial challenges facing the Rough and Ready Fire Department, the organizers have vowed that 100% of the proceeds will benefit the Fire Department. Cash donations will also be gratefully accepted.
The Yard Sale is a joint effort of the Upper Rough and Ready Firewise Community, the Squirrel Creek Homeowners Association, the Rough and Ready Village Mobile Home Park, the Rough and Ready Grange #795 and the Chamber of Commerce.
