May 8, 2017 – In an effort to reduce illegal dumping, Waste Management, Nevada County, the Bureau of Land Management and the U.S. Forest Service are hosting a tire amnesty event. Residents of Nevada County can dispose of up to nine tires at no charge during the event.
The event will be held from May 22nd – 26th, 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., at the following locations:
- May 22nd – May 23rd : McCourtney Road Transfer Station
14741 Wolf Mountain Road, Grass Valley, CA 95949 - May 24th : Lake of the Pines Water Treatment Plant
10803 Riata Way, Auburn, CA 95602 - May 25th : North San Juan Transfer Station
10125 Flume Street, North San Juan, CA 95960 - May 26th : Washington Transfer Station
15886 Gaston Road, Washington, CA 95986
Please note that this event is for residents of Nevada County only and is not open to businesses. Additionally, no tractor or commercial tires will be accepted.
