Nevada City, CA – One of Northern California’s largest gatherings of metaphysical teachers, seers, crafters, healers and readers is coming to Nevada City in April.

The 34th Annual Nevada City Psychic Fair returns to the Miners Foundry Cultural Center on Saturday, April 6 and Sunday, April 7.  The event will be open 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday and 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday. Admission is $5 and proceeds benefit the Cultural Center.

“It’s a big deal for Nevada County,” said Marza Millar who co-produces the fair with Shelly Green. People have traveled from San Francisco, Los Angeles, Reno, and Oregon to attend the event in past years. “We have a clientele that has been coming back again and again.”

For people interested in alternative medicine or curious about the mystical, this year’s Psychic Fair offers attendees an array of 60-70 vendors including psychics (for people and animals), medical intuitives, acupuncturists, massage therapists, herbalists, and alchemists.

In addition, those looking to broaden their knowledge can participate in two full days of lectures and workshops taking place each hour.

“If people are curious about alternative health or anything to do with intuitive channeling and understanding, the Psychic Fair hosts a good variety of people dedicated to their skillsets.”

At the Psychic Fair Marketplace, attendees can shop for tinctures, supplements, natural skin care products, artisan jewelry, clothing and accessories, crystals, rock medicine, gem essences, and more.

Started by local teachers of the healing arts, the event has been showcasing the wealth of alternative medicine that is rich in Nevada County, something Millar says goes back to the gold and quartz the community was built on.

“We have a very alternative community here and we live in a unique area. If you think of the geology we’re built on, that geology itself has a healing aspect to the land. It draws people of all kinds. It creates a certain captive energy that is a healing energy,” Millar said.
