September 18, 2020 – Where there’s a will, there’s a way! So, amidst the current pandemic, American Association of University Women (AAUW) Nevada County Branch members put their talents to work creating marvelous artwork, a fetching array of aprons, tablecloths, and napkins; unique pine needle baskets, and other hand-made holiday gift items. Why? For the very first Covid-proof, virtual AAUW Nevada County Branch auction, September 25th – 27th, to support scholarships, grants and fellowships for women.

The AAUW Nevada County Branch Online Market Faire features more than 60 unique items, including one-of-a-kind jewelry and scarves, and even a cord of wood. Bidding will begin at 4pm on Friday, September 25th, and will close at 8pm on Sunday, September 27th. For more than 75 years, the AAUW Nevada County Branch has been striving to advance equity for women and girls through advocacy, education, philanthropy, and research. The branch provides scholarships to Nevada Union, Bear River, Ghidotti High School and Sierra College-Nevada County Campus graduates, offers re-entry grants to local women, and supports AAUW national fellowships.
