December 27, 2018 – Beginning December 27th Nevada County Law Enforcement and Fire department agencies including; the Grass Valley Police Department, Nevada County Sheriff’s Office, Nevada City Police Department, CHP, Grass Valley Fire Department, Penn Valley Fire, Nevada County Consolidated, Cal Fire and the Sierra Nevada Ambulance Service will be conducting Active Shooter preparedness training.

The scenarios may include the sound of simulated gunfire, as well as a large law enforcement and fire personnel presence. A CodeRed notification will also be made the day before and the morning of the training to areas within a ¼ mile of the training location.
