GRASS VALLEY, Calif. November 29, 2017 – Yesterday, at 6:10 pm, Grass Valley resident Anastasia Torres, 40, was driving southbound on Rough and Ready Highway, north of Hwy 20 in a 1997 Mercedes sedan. Christian Nasralla, a 48-year old Grass Valley resident, was driving northbound on Rough and Ready Highway) in a 2012 Toyota Tacoma approaching the Mercedes’ location.

Due to Torres’ level of intoxication, she allowed her vehicle to travel over the double yellow lines and collided into the oncoming Toyota. The Toyota was redirected as a result of the collision and ran off the east road edge and overturned into a ditch.

Nasralla sustained minor injuries as a result of the collision. Torres was evaluated at the scene and was determined to be under the influence of an alcoholic beverage.

Torres was placed into custody and booked into the Nevada County Jail for violation of DUI causing injury.
