April 5, 2020 at 11:54 AM The National Weather Service in Sacramento has issued a Flood Warning until 6:00 PM PDT Sunday for:

- Southeastern Sutter County
- South central Plumas County
- Western Placer County
- Amador County
- Southwestern Tuolumne County
- Sacramento County
- San Joaquin County
- Northern Stanislaus County
- Western El Dorado County
- Southeastern Butte County
- Calaveras County
- Central Yuba County
- Southwestern Sierra County
- Western Nevada County
At 11:53 AM PDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain that will cause flooding mainly for roadways and poor drainage areas.
Some locations that will experience flooding include Sacramento, Stockton, Modesto, Elk Grove, Roseville, Citrus Heights, Tracy, Folsom, Rocklin, Galt, Oakdale, Auburn, Grass Valley, Placerville, Sonora, Jackson, San Andreas, El Dorado Hills, Cameron Park and Carmichael.
Precautionary/Preparedness Actions
Excessive runoff from heavy rainfall will cause flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as other drainage areas country roads, and low lying spots.
In hilly terrain there are hundreds of low water crossings which are potentially dangerous in heavy rain. Do not attempt to cross flooded roads. Find an alternate route.
