Auburn – On Wednesday, May 19, 2021, at approximately 1:00 PM, CAL FlRE received a report of a female wearing all black clothing lighting fires along Scott Grant Road near Beacon Lane, in the community of Loma Rica, CA.
The first on scene CAL FIRE resource secured the scene of two small fires along 12328 Scott Grant Road. CAL FIRE first responders witnessed a female who fit the description of the suspect near the scene of the fire.
CAL FIRE Law Enforcement, assisted by Yuba County Sheriff’s Office and Department of Fish and Wildlife, interviewed multiple parties at the scene. Eleven small fires were found on the property of 12328 Scott Grant Road, and two small fires were found outside the property, also on Scott Grant Road.
Julie Stewart was arrested for felony arson. a violation of California Penal Code Section 45l(c). Julie Stewart is currently being held on $ 100,000 bail in the Yuba County Jail.
