CAMPTONVILLE, Calif. February 12, 2020 – On Tuesday 2/11/2020 at approximately 10:30 p.m., Yuba County Sheriff’s Department was contacted by Nevada County Sheriff’s Department regarding a gunshot wound victim receiving treatment at a Nevada County Fire Station after reportedly being shot approximately one hour earlier on Alleghany Road in Camptonville, Yuba County.

The victim, a 36-year-old male transient, was transported by air to a Sacramento area hospital with a single gunshot wound to the abdomen; he has since been treated and released. The shooting was reported to have occurred outside a residence in the 15000 block of Alleghany Road in Camptonville, following a verbal dispute between the victim and three unidentified white males, when one of the suspects discharged a single shot from a handgun that struck the victim.
