Grass Valley and Auburn, CA– November is a time when families and friends gather around good food, and this year BriarPatch Food Co-op is helping make those celebrations both more affordable and more meaningful. From November 5 through December 2, 2025, BriarPatch will participate in the National Co+op Grocers (NCG) Field Day Brand Sale, featuring promotional pricing on more than 300 Field Day products. The sale offers co-op shoppers a chance to stretch their grocery budgets while stocking up for the holiday season.

Beyond savings, the Field Day promotion also gives back. For every Field Day item sold during the campaign, NCG will donate $0.05 to NATIFS (North American Traditional Indigenous Food Systems), an Indigenous-led nonprofit working to strengthen Native foodways and promote Indigenous food sovereignty. NCG estimates this initiative will result in a national contribution of at least $130,000 to NATIFS.

At the local level, BriarPatch will contribute even more, donating an additional $0.05 per Field Day item sold from November 5–18 to the Indigenous Futures Society, further supporting Indigenous-led food and cultural initiatives in the region.
