Butte County September 21, 2016 – CAL FIRE law enforcement officers arrested Stephanie Owen (aka Lolmaugh) today on suspicion of starting a wildfire in Butte County. Owen of Gridley, California, is suspected of setting a fire on Wednesday, September 21, 2016, that burned one fifth of an acre on Highway 99 near Highway 162. The fire was reported to the CAL FIRE’s Oroville Emergency Command Center at 4:43 a.m.
Owen has been charged with one count of arson and was booked into Butte County Jail. Her bail is set at $75,000. CAL FIRE investigators arrested Owen without incident.
As conditions across the north state remain dry, CAL FIRE continues to urge the public to be vigilant outdoors and report any suspicious activity.
