LONG-TERM PROJECTS

State Route 49 (Placer County) from the I-80/SR 49 interchange to Dry Creek Road: Construction began June 17, 2019 on a $40.5 million project in Auburn. The project will rehabilitate existing pavement and drainage, improve operational features and upgrade pedestrian and bicycle facilities.

April 12 – April 17

State Route 49 (Placer County) from the Interstate 80 junction to Dry Creek Road:  Motorists can expect intermittent lane and shoulder closures from 6 p.m. to 6 a.m. Sunday through Thursday for a paving operation.

Interstate 80 (Placer County) from the I-80/SR-174 westbound on-ramp to Canyon Way: A $1.8 million Acceleration Lane project in Colfax will create a standard-length westbound acceleration and merge lane to increase the safety and operation of Interstate 80.

April 13 – April 18

Interstate 80 (Placer County) from the I-80/SR-174 westbound on-ramp to Canyon Way: Westbound motorists can expect intermittent lane and shoulder closures from 6 p.m. to 6 a.m. Monday through Friday for k-rail installation and roadway excavation. The westbound I-80 on-ramp will also be closed intermittently from 6 p.m. to 6 a.m. Monday through Friday

SHORT-TERM PROJECTS

State Route 20 (Nevada County) from Casci Road to Ridgewood Road: Motorists can expect reversing one-way traffic control and shoulder closures from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday through Wednesday for hazard tree removal.

State Route 49 (Placer County) at the Bear River Bridge near Linnet Lane: Southbound motorists can expect intermittent lane closures from 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Wednesday for bridge work.

State Route 49 (Sierra County) at Hill Street: Motorists can expect lane and shoulder restrictions from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Thursday for shoulder work.

State Route 49 (Nevada County) from Crestview Drive to McKnight Way: Motorists may expect intermittent lane and shoulder closures from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Friday for electrical work.

State Route 49 (Nevada County) from the State Route 20 junction to Coyote Street: Motorists may expect intermittent lane and shoulder closures from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Friday for electrical work.

State Route 49 (Yuba/Sierra Counties) from Marysville Road in Yuba County to Yuba Pass Road in Sierra County: Motorists can expect intermittent reversing one-way traffic control and shoulder closures from 8:15 a.m. to 3:45 p.m. Monday through Friday for miscellaneous work.

State Route 49 (Sierra County) at Goodyear Creek Road: Motorists can expect

reversing one-way traffic control and shoulder closures from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Tuesday though Friday for electrical work.

State Route 49 (Sierra County) at the State Route 89 junctions in Sattley and Sierraville: Motorists can expect intermittent, reversing one-way traffic control from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Friday for electrical work.

Interstate 80 (Placer County) at the eastbound Penryn Road on-ramp: Eastbound motorists may expect a full on-ramp closure from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday for vegetation work.

Interstate 80 (Placer County) from Penryn Road to Newcastle Road: Eastbound motorists may expect intermittent lane and shoulder closures from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Thursday for a maintenance operation.

Interstate 80 (Placer County) at the Gilardi Road Overcrossing: Westbound motorists may expect a #3 lane and shoulder closure from 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday for bridge work.

Interstate 80 (Placer County) from the Magra Road Overcrossing to the Gold Run Overcrossing: Motorists may expect intermittent lane and shoulder closures from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday through Friday for a crack seal operation.

Interstate 80 (Placer County) from the Monte Vista Overcrossing to the Alta Road Overcrossing: Motorists may expect intermittent lane and shoulder closures from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Wednesday through Friday for electrical work.

Interstate 80 (Nevada County) from Big Bend/Rainbow Road to Donner Lake Interchange: Eastbound motorists may expect intermittent lane and shoulder closures from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Friday for a striping operation.

Interstate 80 (Nevada/Placer Counties) from the Donner Summit Rest Area to Big Bend/Rainbow Road: Westbound motorists may expect intermittent lane and shoulder closures from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Friday for a striping operation.

State Route 89 (Nevada County) at Deerfield Drive: Motorists can expect intermittent lane and shoulder closures from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Thursday for traffic signal work.

State Route 89 (Sierra County) from Cottonwood Road to Little Truckee River: Motorists may expect intermittent reversing one-way traffic control and shoulder closures from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday through Thursday for a crack seal operation.

State Route 174 (Nevada County) from Bar Ela Ranch Road to Dalmatian Drive/Buena Woods Way: Motorists can expect intermittent, reversing one-way traffic control and shoulder closures from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday for utility work.

State Route 193 (Placer County) from Missile Road to Stardust Lane: Westbound motorists can expect shoulder closures from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Saturday for utility work.

State Route 193 (Placer County) from the Interstate 80 junction to Taylor Road: Motorists can expect right shoulder closures on the Interstate 80 off-ramps from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday. Signs will be displayed to alert motorists of PG&E utility work on local cross streets.

State Route 267 (Placer County) from the Interstate 80/State Route 89 separation to Northstar Drive: Motorists can expect intermittent lane and shoulder closures from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Wednesday through Thursday for traffic signal work.
