LONG-TERM PROJECTS

Interstate 80 (Placer County) from Long Ravine underpass to just east of the Magra Road Overcrossing: Roadwork continues on a $50.6 million project to construct a three-mile truck climbing lane on eastbound I-80 and make other improvements to the interstate just east of Colfax, including replacing and widening the Cape Horn undercrossing bridge. 

Nov. 13-15

Interstate 80 (Placer County) from the Long Ravine Bridge to Secret Town Overcrossing (Magra Road): Eastbound motorists can expect alternating lane closures from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m. Tuesday through Friday for curb, gutter, and work.

Interstate 80 (Placer County) at the Gold Run State Rest and Recovery Areas (SRRAs): The eastbound and westbound rest areas will be closed from May through November to bring water delivery and waste water treatment systems into compliance with current state requirements. Construction of the new system, similar to other SRRA locations, will eliminate costs associated with septic tank systems and improve the potable water delivery system.

SHORT-TERM PROJECTS

State Route 20 (Nevada County) from Lone Grave to Whitecloud Campground: Motorists can expect intermittent lane closures from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday through Sunday for tree work.

State Route 20 (Nevada County) from Washington Road to Skillman Campground: Motorists can expect intermittent lane and shoulder closures from 8:15 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday and Wednesday for drainage cleaning.

State Route 49 (Nevada County) from Coyote Street to the Yuba County line: Motorists can expect intermittent lane closures from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. Wednesday through Friday for tree removal.

State Route 49 (Yuba County) near the Sleighville Creek area: Motorists can expect one-way traffic control from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday through Sunday for emergency work.

Interstate 80 (Nevada County) from Prosser Village to Truckee River Bridge 13: Eastbound motorists can expect intermittent lane closures9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on  Wednesday for concrete pouring.

Interstate 80 (Nevada County) from State Route 20 to Eagle Lakes Road: Eastbound motorists can expect intermittent lane and left shoulder closures from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Tuesday for guardrail repair.

Interstate 80 (Placer County) from the Heather Glen Overcrossing to the New England Mills Overcrossing: Eastbound motorists can expect intermittent lane closures from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Wednesday for bridge work. 

Interstate 80 (Placer County)at the Alta Road Undercrossing: Eastbound motorists can expect one lane closure from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Thursday for bridge work.

Interstate 89 (Placer County) from Squaw Creek to Goose Meadows Campground: Motorists can expect one-way traffic control from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Tuesday for drainage work.  

State Route 89 (Sierra County) from State Route 89 to Forestry Road: Northbound and southbound motorists can expect intermittent lane closures from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. Tuesday through Thursday for tree work.

State Route 89 (Sierra County) from State Route 89 to Cottonwood Creek Road: Northbound and southbound motorists can expect alternating lane closures from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday for crack sealing.

State Route 89 (Sierra County) from Old Truckee Road to the Junction at State Route 49 in Sattley: Northbound and Southbound motorists can expect one-way traffic control from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday and Tuesday for tree work.

Interstate 174 (Placer County) from Route 174 to Bear River Bridge: Motorists can expect intermittent lane closures from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday through Thursday for ditch cleaning.  

Interstate 267 (Placer County)from Route 267 to Northstar Drive: Westbound and eastbound motorists can expect alternating lane closures from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday through Friday for crack sealing.
