Most traffic-interfering work will be limited from 8 a.m. Friday, August 31 through 11:59 p.m. Monday, September 3 due to the Labor Day Weekend. 

LONG-TERM PROJECTS

Interstate 80 (Placer County) from Long Ravine underpass to .2 miles east of Magra Road overcrossing: Roadwork continues for a $50.6 million project to construct 3 miles of additional truck climbing lane and other improvements to primarily eastbound I-80 east of Colfax, including widening the Cape Horn undercrossing bridge.

Interstate 80 (Placer County) at the Gold Run State Rest and Recovery Areas (SRRAs): The EB and WB rest areas will be closed from May 9 to September 30 to bring water delivery and waste water treatment systems into compliance with current State requirements. Construction of the new system, similar to other SRRA locations, will eliminate costs associated with septic tank systems and improve the potable water delivery system.

State Route 65 (Placer County) from the I-80 junction to one mile south of Pleasant Grove Blvd, including the on- and/or off-ramps at Stanford Ranch Road, Galleria Boulevard and Harding Boulevard: The project will add capacity alleviate traffic congestion on the interchange between Interstate 80 and State Highway 65 in Placer County as well as nearby interchanges. State Route 49 (Yuba/Sierra County) from Marysville Road to Sierra City: Motorists can expect one-way traffic control from 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday for miscellaneous work.

State Route 49 (Sierra County) from Chapman Saddle Road to Vista Point: Motorists can expect one-way traffic control from 6 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday and Tuesday for drainage cleaning.

Interstate 80 (Nevada/Sierra/Placer County) from east of I-80/SR-174 separation in Placer County to the California/Nevada state line: Motorists can expect rolling lane and shoulder restrictions in various locations from 8 p.m. to 8 a.m. Sunday through Saturday for striping operations.

Interstate 80 (Nevada/Sierra/Placer County) from east of I-80/SR-174 separation in Placer County to the California/Nevada state line: Motorists can expect alternating full ramp closures (work will be done at throat of ramps, no ramp will be closed until previous one has reopened) from 6 p.m. to 10 a.m. Sunday through Friday for striping operations.

Interstate 80 (Placer County) from Carpenter Flat undercrossing to the Laing Road eastbound off-ramp: Motorist can expect alternating lane closures from 5 p.m. to 10 a.m. Monday through Friday for bridge work.

Interstate 80 (Nevada/Placer County) from Truckee to Floriston: Motorists can expect restricts at various undercrossings from 5 p.m. to 10 a.m. Sunday through Friday for bridge work.

Interstate 80 (Nevada County) from Trout Creek Undercrossing to Farad Undercrossing: Motorists can expect alternating lane closures at various undercrossings from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m. Sunday through Friday for bridge work.

Interstate 80 (Placer County) from Applegate road to Weimar: Eastbound motorists can expect right shoulder and #2 lane restrictions from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday through Thursday for tree work.

Interstate 80 (Placer County) at the Nevada County line: Eastbound motorists can expect left shoulder and #1 lane restrictions from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday for guardrail repair.

Interstate 80 (Placer County) at Monte Vista Overcrossing in Dutch Flat: Westbound motorists can expect a full ramp closure from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Wednesday for guardrail repair.

Interstate 80 (Nevada County) at Yuba Gap Overcrossing: Eastbound motorists can expect #3 of 3 lanes closed from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Wednesday for bridge work.

State Route 89 (Nevada County) from Hobart Mills Road to Sagehen Creek: Motorists can expect one way traffic control from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday for pavement repair.

State Route 174 (Nevada County) at Orchard Springs Road: Motorists can expect one way traffic controls from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Thursday for drainage work.

State Route 193 (Placer County) from Missilse Road to Sierra College Boulevard: Motorists can expect one way traffic controls from 6 a.m. to 5 p.m. Wednesday for utility work.

State Route 267 (Placer County) from Martis Creek Bridge to Carnelian Bay Avenue: Motorists can expect one way traffic controls from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Wednesday for pavement work.
