April 10, 2018 – Nevada County Community Library announced the winners of its 2018 Library Card Design Contest at the Board of Supervisors Meeting on April 10, 2018. The contest, which ran from February 12 through March 5, 2018, called for artists to submit original designs that featured a poetry theme in honor of April being National Poetry Month.
Four winning designs – one from each category – were selected: Age 10 and under; Age 11-17; Adult; and Poet Laureate’s Choice, selected by Nevada County Poet Laureate, Molly Fisk.
These winning designs will be featured on the new Nevada County Community Library Cards issued beginning today.

Winner, Age 11-17: Lily A. Neiser, Grass Valley
Winner, Adult: Janet Jensen, Nevada City
Winner, Poet Laureate’s Choice: Anita Lincoln Pearson, Penn Valley
