Grass Valley, CA Community Beyond Violence (CBV) is excited to announce Cinema for a Cause, a special fundraising event that will take place on October 10, 2024, at the Del Oro Theatre in downtown Grass Valley. The event will feature the beloved classic movie Fried Green Tomatoes and aims to raise essential funds to empower survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault within our community.

Cinema for a Cause

Guests will enjoy an evening of film, drinks, and community. A raffle will also be held, with prizes generously donated by local businesses. All proceeds from the event will support Community Beyond Violence’s mission to heal the trauma of sexual assault and domestic violence by providing crisis intervention, safety, advocacy, and education to survivors and our community.

CBV has been a cornerstone of support for those affected by domestic violence and sexual assault, offering comprehensive services including emergency shelter, legal advocacy, prevention education, crisis intervention, and counseling.
