NEVADA CITY, Calif. April 3, 2017 – Join the South Yuba River Citizens League for a celebratory Earth Day Cleanup at Pioneer Park, from 9am-12pm on Saturday, April 22.
Enjoy the spring sunshine and get your hands dirty. Help keep our water ways and park clean by removing accumulated debris along Little Deer Creek. Volunteers and SYRCL staff will convene for a quick meet and greet at the picnic tables beyond the horseshoe pits at 9am. Complimentary coffee will be provided for volunteers; don’t forget your travel mug!
The Cleanup Site & What to Bring
This cleanup site is on uneven ground and includes a short hike through brush. Please wear sturdy boots, long pants, and heavy work or garden gloves. Trash bags will be provided, but we also encourage you to bring your own reusable trash vessel, such as an old 5 gallon bucket, to cut down on landfill waste. In order to stay hydrated and fueled–please bring water and a snack.
