February 14, 2018 – Elise Strickler, a Grass Valley resident and first time candidate, announced her candidacy today for Nevada County Clerk-Recorder/Registrar of Voters.
A resident of Nevada County for 26 years, Elise Strickler cites 13 years experience in customer service with 7 years being in public service with Nevada County. Elise started her public service career in the Nevada County Elections Office where she gained a vast amount of knowledge in a wide variety of duties including voter registration, managing staff, media outreach, candidate filing, and building ballots. Elise is currently a Management Analyst with the Nevada Executive Office where she conducts research and analysis for County programs and special projects, assists with policy development, and reviews and analyzes departmental budgets.
“I am excited and proud to be running for Clerk-Recorder. I have the experience, knowledge, and temperament to step forward and continue to improve the Office,” says Elise.
Elise lives in Grass Valley with her significant other David where she enjoys volunteering in the community and spending time with her family. She currently volunteers with the Nevada County 4-H Executive Council.
“I believe that I can represent this office with integrity, transparency, and forethought. My commitment is to serve the residents of our great county with fiscal prudence, communication, and outreach. I appreciate your time and consideration and I look forward to a positive campaign,” says Elise.
