NEVADA CITY, CA – Winnie Superette is delighted to present BITE SIZED, a solo exhibition by multidisciplinary artist Erika Peterson – also known as Ghost Baby – with an opening reception on Friday, May 2nd from 5–8p. The show will run through Sunday, June 1st.
This whimsical collection of framed watercolor paintings pays homage to beloved Asian snacks and drinks that have become nostalgic touchstones across generations. From the iconic Kewpie bottle to colorful Hi-Chew wrappers, Erika reimagines these staples with a painter’s touch and a sentimental nod.

The opening night will feature framed original works and sticker versions available for purchase. Guests are invited to snack and sip while they browse – yes, we’ll be serving up some of the very snacks featured in the art, along with fun drinks to keep things festive!
A familiar face at Winnie Superette, Erika is not only the creative mind behind much of the shop’s recent reels and merchandising magic, but also the artist behind the beloved pet portrait of Winnie displayed by the register. She grew up in Ohio and spent much of her life in LA pursuing her creative talents.
Winnie Superette is a boutique Asian market in downtown Nevada City, offering a curated mix of snacks, pantry staples, and specialty goods from across Asian cuisines alongside local baked goods and flowers.
From nostalgic treats to new discoveries, our shop is a welcoming space for anyone excited to explore new finds, and we love to host community events that bring people together.
