GRASS VALLEY, Calif. June 19, 2017 – Fire units responded for a reported head on collision on La Barr Meadows road in front of Rare Earth. The first unit arrived and reported two vehicles with major damage and both lanes blocked. There were three patients with moderate to major injuries.
Two patients in one vehicle needed to be extricated and were air transported to Sutter Roseville. A third patient in the other vehicle was ground transported to Sutter Roseville.
Grass Valley Fire Engines 1,88,2 Battalion1, Chief 5100 and Chief 1300 were assisted by CHP, SNA, Reach 7, Cal-Star and GVPD.
CHP is investigating the cause. Both lanes were back open at 12:55pm.
