GRASS VALLEY, Calif., August 12, 2026 – Opening Day at the Fair is finally here and the grounds look amazing. Kudos to all the staff and volunteers who worked until very late last night to get everything ready for the rest of us.

The opening ceremony serves as the official kickoff of the festivities. Many familiar faces in the VIP crowd.
Meanwhile, 4H and FFA kids and families were busy getting their animals look ribbon-worthy while Treat Street got ready for today’s crowds.
There’s so much more and we haven’t even set foot in the exhibition halls – that’s on the to-do list for later.
