NEVADA CITY, Calif. April 12, 2018 – A structure fire was reported at 10:02 pm yesterday and all units responded to Summit Ridge Dr. in Cascade Shores, upon the arrival of Engine 86, it was reported a 1 story wood frame residential occupancy, with heavy smoke and fire showing, 75% involved.
The fire took approximately 45 minutes to knockdown and an additional one hour to extinguish. All operations were performed from the exterior of the building due to the amount of involvement and instability of the structure. All occupants were reported out of the building by the resident at the scene. The building was a total loss.
This was a 2 alarm fire due to the amount of fire involvement and location.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation by NCCFD.
