July 29, 2019 – First 5 Nevada County is a public agency that works to support families through programs and systems like home visiting, professional development, child care teachers, and family resource centers. First 5 Nevada County is governed by a 5-member Commission appointed by the Nevada County Board of Supervisors. County Commission members include Public Health Director Jill Blake, District I Supervisor Heidi Hall, and the Health and the Human Services Agency Director.
Congratulations to First 5 Nevada County’s previous Executive Director Lindsay Dunkel who will now be the Early Learning Coordinator for First 5 Sacramento! As such, First 5 Nevada County is looking for their new Executive Director. The Executive Director will need to operate the Commission in accordance with the California Children and Families Act and other relevant laws and ordinances.
