December 26, 2016 – Recycle your Christmas tree for FREE at several locations in western Nevada County!
Beginning December 26th through February 1st, free Christmas tree recycling is available at the McCourtney Road Transfer Station and the Eric Rood Administrative Center (Cement Hill Road entrance). The McCourtney Road Transfer Station is open Wednesday through Sunday, from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., and Christmas trees will be accepted at the green waste area.
Saturday, January 7th from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., Christmas trees will also be accepted at the Lake Wildwood Wastewater Treatment Plant, Lake of the Pines Wastewater Treatment Plant and Alta Sierra Fire Department on Tammy Way.
If you can’t get to one of these recycle locations, you can also cut your tree to fit in your green waste cart!
