February 24, 2019 – The Nevada County Adult & Family Services Commission announces a Request for Funding (RFF) for the Nevada County Community Initiative Funding (CIF). These funds must be targeted towards very low-income residents and will allow local non-profit agencies an opportunity to provide services in food/nutrition, transportation, safe and stable affordable housing, and access to mainstream benefits.

Non-profit organizations must submit an application for CIF funds before the March 22nd 3:00 p.m. deadline.

A total of $30,000 in Community Initiative Funding (CIF) has been allocated to support two separate, one-time only funded projects subject to the Nevada County Board of Supervisors’ approval and fiscal resources. Funding requests are for July 1, 2019 through June 30, 2020. The maximum funds available will be $15,000 per project.  These funds are not intended to provide long-term support of a program and are not to be used to pay for administrative overhead costs, which includes staff and operating cost of the non-profit, or supplant other funding sources.

Funding priorities are aligned and set forth by the CSBG CAP, and proposals must meet the priority objectives outlined in the CSBG CAP.  Find more information about CSBG CAP priorities and download a copy of the proposal application on the Adult and Family Services Commission website.
