Golden Shoulders with special guests Casual Fog will perform at the cultural center located at 325 Spring Street in downtown Nevada City on Friday, November 29. Doors open at 7 p.m. and the show begins at 8 p.m. The Miners Foundry offers a no host full bar with snacks available for purchase.

“We are very, very excited to be back at the beautiful Miners Foundry, playing many of our best songs, and some of our other ones, to an audience of friends, neighbors and family, all of us absolutely packed full of potatoes. It’s the ideal set of circumstances for enjoying music,” said  founder / mascot Adam Kline.

Golden Shoulders is a band from Nevada City, California. They’ve been a band from Nevada City, California since 2001, and they’ll continue to be a band from Nevada City, California for the next fifty years, give or take.

Golden Shoulders has a rotating / revolving / oscillating lineup of members assisting Kline, and they’ve embarked on many tours of the United States, playing with a reduced lineup of either two or three people (however many can fit comfortably in Kline’s car), while playing larger shows with a whole mess of musicians onstage when closer to home.

At this show, Kline (rhythm guitar) will be joined by tall lead guitarist Ehren “the Doctor” Haas, bassist Hunter Burgan (Badical Turbo Radness, probably some other things), local treasure Brett Shady (vocals), handsome dad Jonathan Hansard (trumpet), and enigmatic drummer / percussionists Todd Roper and David Nicholson, Davia Pratschner (vocals), Elissa Spencer (vocals), Ariella Daly (piano), Dan Elkan (vibes) along with some special guests and other, less special guests.

They’ll be performing for the first time in sequence and in its entirety, their seminal 2004 album, Friendship is Deep, featuring their signature song, I Will Light You On Fire, and other songs that might be just as good, if only people would give them a chance.

Casual Fog

Ryan Donnelly’s Casual Fog has released more than ten albums and EPs over the last 20+ years.

Casual Fog’s new full-length album, Different Mirrors and new EP, Else, both released this year, take us deep into Donnelly’s immersive world of sonic and cinematic arrangements, further exploring the possibilities of interpretation, from poppy heights to moody lows.

After several recent solo performances, Donnelly is excited to bring Casual Fog to life in an electronic and organic inspired interpretation of these songs.

Joining the group on keyboards and synth guitar are frequent collaborates Ben Milner (sBach, Night Court), and Jacob Bradford (Ghost Pines, Oh Lonesome Ana)
