On Saturday, November 8th 2025, Grass Valley Police Officers received a call of a possibly deceased individual in Condon Park. Officers confirmed the presence of a deceased male adult and turned the scene over to the investigations division.
The victim of this incident has been identified as 51-year-old Jason Allen Frost of Sacramento and Grass Valley. Mr. Frost sustained injuries consistent with an altercation. To preserve the integrity of the investigation, no additional details regarding the victims’ injuries will be publicly disclosed at this time. An autopsy was conducted the morning of 11/13/2025. An official cause and manner of death will be determined by forensic medical personnel.

Mr. Frost was a regular visitor to the Grass Valley Skate Park and known to those in the local skateboarding community. At this time, the evidence indicates Mr. Frost was involved in an altercation with an unknown suspect(s) sometime after sunset on the evening of November 7th and perished as a result of injuries he sustained.
Available video footage shows the vehicle owned by Mr. Frost departing the property of Condon Park at approximately 10:00 p.m. on the evening of the assault. That vehicle was later found abandoned in the area of McCourtney Road and Indian Springs Road in Nevada County.
Detectives, with assistance from the Nevada County District Attorney’s Office and the Federal Bureau of Investigation Evidence Response Team, have processed the crime scene and the victim’s vehicle. Interviews with known associates of Mr. Frost have begun and digital forensic evidence is being recovered.
