June 10, 2025 at 7:29 AM NEVADA CITY, Calif. June 10, 2025 – On Saturday, the 20th Annual Health, Safety & Fire Preparedness Carnival took place at the Rood Center, organized by Gold Country Kiwanis and Nevada County.
Local agencies and non-profit organizations were on hand to provide information, tips and games for the younger ones to learn about being prepared in case of an emergency.
Now in its 20th year, the carnival started as an event to make children and their parents feel comfortable should emergency services be required and to assist in preparation of their home against fires.
The weather was cooperating this year, and a good time was had by all.
