Camptonville, Ca. – Yuba County Sheriff Detectives have confirmed the identity of human remains discovered near Dark Day Campground at New Bullards Bar Reservoir in Camptonville last month. The man, identified as 44-year-old Tyler Love of Grass Valley, was reported missing to the Nevada County Sheriff’s Office on 11/2/2021, and was found dead by a hiker on 12/21/2021 near Dark Day Campground.

Mr. Love’s official cause of death remains pending autopsy results at this time. We wish to extend our sympathy to the family and friends of Tyler Love for your loss.

Camptonville, Ca. – Yuba County Sheriff Detectives are conducting a Coroner’s investigation into the discovery of human remains located near the Dark Day Campground at New Bullards Bar Reservoir near Camptonville, just before 3:00 P.M. on Tuesday December 21, 2021. A hiker in the area discovered the skeletal remains and called 911. Deputies responded and confirmed the remains were human. Investigators were called to the scene to conduct a coroner’s investigation, which is active and ongoing at this time. The identity of the deceased and cause of death remain pending an autopsy.
