PLACER COUNTY – Caltrans is reminding motorists of various lane closures in multiple locations along State Route 49 (SR 49) as several projects continue in Placer County.
Here is the breakdown for the week:
Sidewalk Gap Closure Project
- Southbound between Luther Road and Fulweiler Avenue/Elm Avenue, various lane closures are scheduled from 9 p.m. to 7 a.m. Monday, July 21 through Thursday, July 24. Work is scheduled to end for the week by 7 a.m. Friday, July 25.
Safety Barrier Project
- Northbound between Lorenson Road/Florence Lane and Lone Star Road, various lane closures are scheduled from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday, July 21 through Friday, July 25.
- Southbound between Lone Star Road and Lorenson Road/Florence Lane
- Various lane closures are scheduled from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday, July 21 through Friday, July 25.
- Southbound will be reduced to a single lane until further notice at the intersection with Lone Star Road and Lorenson Road/Florence Lane.
- Northbound and southbound between Rio Oso Road/Overhill Drive and Lorenson Road/Florence Lane, various lane closures are scheduled from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m. Monday, July 21 through Thursday, July 24. Work is scheduled to end for the week at 7 a.m. Friday, July 25.
The extended lane closures will help to minimize the duration of the work and improve workers’ safety. Motorists may experience delays between 10 to 15 minutes, depending on traffic volumes. The schedule is subject to change or be delayed due to weather, availability of materials or other unexpected events.
