Nevada City, October 11, 2018: Indivisible Women of Nevada County will host a full slate of candidates for a day or direct action to get out the vote this Sunday, October 14, 2018 from 1-3:30 pm at the Miners Foundry in Nevada City. Candidates include Elenis Kounalakis for Lt. Governor, Audrey Denney for Congressional Distict 1, Caleen Sisk for State Assembly District 1, Shannan Moon for Nevada County Sherriff, Bruce Herring for NID Board of Directors Division II, Hilary Hodge & Bob Branstrom both for Grass Valley City Council.

This event provides a great opportunity to meet these candidates, get information on propositions and how to network with other voters to ensure we get out the vote this November.

“We have three weeks to get out the vote”, said Itara O’Connell from Indivisible Women. She adds, “This Sunday, we will provide practical information on how to talk with others about the importance of voting and helpful training on how to volunteer for a candidate in these last critical weeks”. “Men and women are all welcome for this community event.”

Indivisible Women is a results-oriented collective of local women who are committed to engaging more fully to transform our political process. Hundreds of women from across the region have gathered at Indivisible Women events over the past year to become informed, learn how to take effective political action and be supported.

Nationwide, Indivisible has mushroomed since January 2016 and now includes over 6,000 groups. Locally, IWNC works to represent the interests of women throughout our district at the local, state and national level.
