After serving tacos for more than sixty years during the annual Fair, the Nevada City Lions Club is turning in their keys. Having a great sense of pride, the Nevada City Lions Club has been able to support many of their club projects with the purchase of every taco sold, year after year.
We are now accepting applications from interested nonprofit organizations based in Nevada County who would like to operate a Treat Street booth during the 2024 Nevada County Fair. If selected, applicants will need to submit proof of their 501(c)(3) status. It is preferred that the selected nonprofit continues to sell tacos, as they have been a crowd favorite, however, we are accepting other unique ideas. Some of the current booth equipment will be available to purchase from the Nevada City Lions Club.
Interested nonprofits will be required to operate the booth all five days of the Fair from 10:00 am โ 11:00 pm each day. If desired, the booth may also be opened during the annual Draft Horse Classic in September.
The booth is located next to the Watt Park Firefighters Association Frosty Freeze booth and just steps away from the excitement of the Pine Tree Stage. This great location has a large earning potential and is a fun way to share information about your community nonprofit organization.
Proudly, the Nevada County Fairgrounds is one of only a few Fairgrounds that still showcases nonprofits as our primary food vendors. During the 2023 Fair, Treat Street nonprofits raised over one million dollars to support their programs.
To apply, complete the application found on our website at www.NevadaCountyFair.com. Applications are due by Friday, April 12 at 11:00 am.
Join us for the 2024 Nevada County Fair, โCarnival Lights and Treat Street Delightsโ from August 7 โ 11, 2024.
