Come one, come all to enjoy traditional Jewish deli foods at the Nevada County Jewish Community Center (NCJCC)’s Corner Deli booth at the Nevada County Fair, August 12–16! The NCJCC is thrilled to bring back its beloved Corner Deli, serving delicious kosher hot dogs, toasted Reuben sandwiches, ice‑cold drinks, and bagels with all the trimmings for breakfast lovers.

The fair is one of the biggest events of the summer in Nevada County and an annual tradition for locals and visitors alike. The NCJCC is proud to run its long‑time food stall on Treat Street, giving fair‑goers a taste of classic Jewish deli fare and helping feed our local community. With no permanent Jewish deli in Nevada County, the Corner Deli is one of the few opportunities each year to enjoy these traditional dishes. Our friendly volunteers are always happy to welcome newcomers — if you’ve never tried a toasty Reuben, the warm pastrami and crunchy grilled bread may just make you a lifelong fan.
The Corner Deli is also one of the NCJCC’s biggest fundraisers of the year. Proceeds from food sales help sustain the Center’s wide range of Jewish and community programming throughout the year. Your support makes a meaningful difference — come indulge your cravings and support this important local organization.
Community Events Open to All
Beyond the fair, the NCJCC hosts a variety of events throughout the year that are open to the entire community. These include family‑friendly holiday celebrations, adult education and cultural programs, and our monthly Family Shabbat service and dinner. Our next major event is the Annual Welcome‑Back Shabbat and Community Dinner on Friday, August 21, where we open our doors to returning families and anyone interested in learning more about the NCJCC. All are welcome to join us for food, music, and a warm start to the new year. Please contact us for more information and to RSVP.
The NCJCC has been serving the greater Grass Valley/Nevada City community since 1978.
